It’s Time to Hold the Big Banks Accountable
Monday, September 28, 2009 at 7:15AM Join thousands of ordinary Americans in Chicago on Oct. 27 as we tell the American Bankers Association—Enough is Enough!
With their reckless behavior and unchecked greed, big banks caused the most severe economic crisis since the Great Depression. We were told we had to bail the big banks out so they would start putting money back into our communities—and our jobs and our homes would be saved.
For every man, woman, and child in the United States, ordinary Americans gave the big banks $15,000. But WallStreet didn’t hold up their end of the bargain. The financial giants have bounced back, but they have done nothing to fix the overall economy that they crashed.
The big banks and the politicians need to hear us loud and clear.

Stoping so short sighted people - we need a revolution of epic proportions, not some bullshit little sissy girl march.
maybe you need some real problems to focus on.
Anyhow, I think this is an awesome idea. I can not march myself because I am disabled, but I will be there in spirit! I think it is important to keep this issue in the public eye. These guys are all crooks! And I do agree with Aug that we need to look at the feds and Mr Paulsen as well! There is definitely someone on the other side that got this money for them, what about the congress, the one that was there at the time, cause in case you forgot this all happened under the Bush administration.
But we low life losers should not let them forget about this! Find out who is responsible, and make sure they do not get back in office on the next election. Stay together we are all on the same side, the middle class!
I am praying for good weather!
Make more assumptions. I am not a "right winger." I voted for Obama. I simply don't like organizations that don't have the guts to call in person. The SEIU apparently is not up to speed on the legality of recorded message calls. Then again, they are a dying organization. They probably can't find enough members to make the real phone calls. But I'm sure completely baseless fear mongering in a recorded message and on this crappy website should get lots of really intelligent people to back their cause. I'm praying for rain.
I have filed a complaint with the FTC and hopefully you will soon be put out of operation.

So far no response -- is marching one of my constituional rite!!
I was thrown off by the mandatory registration, too, but if you read the bottom of the 'Details' page at showdowninchicago.org, it says you don't need to register for the march on Tuesday. I guess they just want to know how many people are attending the educational session and similar events.
Cheers.
